Siesikai church of St. Apostle Bartholomew

Renaissance – style Siesikai church of St. Apostle Bartholomew is the oldest church in Ukmergė district. It is an archaeological, architectural, artistic, memorial, and sacred cultural heritage object of national importance. Although this shrine is mentioned in church lists of Vilnius diocese in 1522, according to the opinion of historiography, three brothers Siesickiai, who were the owners of the Siesikai manor, built a new brick church in 1537 and named it St. Bartholomew.
